The business park is a good location for me. I'm disappointed a little in how the buildings in the business park look. When I moved in and built,there were specific rules for landscaping/look and now it seems people are just putting up metal sheds with no landscaping. My business is a destination business so signage is not a big issue. Business park is great. More city ordinances(or oversight)over how individual businesses in business park maintain their property& signage. Decided to open in Brainerd Lakes area(after starting in Rochester, expanding to Red Wind& 1 other location) because Brainerd Lakes is growing rapidly. They picked Pequot Lakes because of the cost(could not have found more reasonable cost elsewhere)plus the location for serving the area is very convenient. The Street Department could do a better job of sanding streets in Business Park in winter. We wanted to stay in Pequot but could not find a lot either in the business park or in the city to accommodate our needs. They tried and the city tried hard,but it did not work out. Great love of business park. Very convenient. Believes the alternative highway route makes all the sense in the world, and it will increase visibility of business park further helping it. We need a place in town to eat. Void: fast food Need a fast food restaurant. Sewer extension is needed down in this area(168 & 108) because it is draining toward the lake and also there is a lot of business expansion in this area. What about using the irrigation field for watering the Preserve Golf course? The police in Pequot are getting a reputation. Lots of complaining. It's an image problem. We need 1 more doctor in town(this from the dr's office) Someday the Echo would like a newer building with more room. I need a larger store. St. Alice is going to expand and the offices will go into the new expansion. They own 3 other houses including one being used as an office. I'm just using up my lease.
