June 1,2004 Page 2
Pequot Lakes—Engineering Services Proposal for Morehouse Drive and Lots 7&8
contactor's means and methods, by weather, and by other factors
beyond our control.
Total Construction Phase: Estimated $26,300
A preliminary budget was prepared and is attached to this proposal for the proposed extension
of Morehouse Drive and sanitary sewer and watermain to Lots 7 and 8. This provides the City
with a general overview of potential project costs for financial planning purposes.
In order to proceed with this project,we are proposing to undertake an aggressive schedule.
WSN proposes to assist the City with the preliminary assessment hearing process during this
month of June and then, pursuant to Council approval, prepare construction drawings and
specifications for public bidding during the month of July. Bidding would occur in August and
bids would be reviewed and, hopefully, approved by the Council in September. Utility
construction would occur this year, with roadway items to be completed in the spring of 2005.
If you are in agreement with our proposed scope of services, please sign below and return one
copy of this letter to us as our authorization to proceed. We appreciate the opportunity to serve
the City.
Sincerely,
Timothy M. Houle, P.E.
Proposed by Widseth Smith Nolting
Donald D. Anderson, Executive Vice President
Accepted by the City of Pequot Lakes: The above proposal is satisfactory and WSN is authorized
to do the work as specified.
