Consider Granting Approval to Sibley Lake Association to Manage Shoreline <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO AUTHORIZE SIBLEY LAKE <br /> ASSOCIATION AND THE PROFESSIONAL LAKES MANAGEMENT TO <br /> MANAGE AND CONTROL THE LAKE SHORE OF THE CITY PARK FOR <br /> CURLEY LEAF PAWN WEED FOR THE TIME PERIOD ENDING 12/31/04, <br /> CONTINGENT ON APPROVAL OF THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL <br /> RESOURCES. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 7.2. Consider Request to Proceed with Preparing Specifications and Advertisement <br /> for Bids for Road and Street Improvements <br /> Mike Loven requested permission to proceed with drafting specifications and <br /> advertisement for bids for the following road and street improvements: <br /> • Pequot Boulevard — bituminous overlay from Ramsey Street to Nelson <br /> Street <br /> • Wilderness Point Road and Cullen Cove Road — gravel and a bituminous <br /> surface <br /> • Mayor Hills Road —gravel and a bituminous surface <br /> • Hubbard Street—shape roadway, install a culvert if needed, and cover <br /> with gravel with a bituminous surface in 2005. This would also include <br /> Water Tower Drive from Hubbard Street to Pillsbury Street to the north. <br /> It was suggested that Marshall Street looked at. The Clerk noted that a meeting <br /> has been scheduled with the property owners on Marshall Street, the City <br /> Engineer, and the Street Superintendent. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE STREET <br /> SUPERINTENDENT TO PROCEED WITH DRAFTING THE SPECIFICATIONS <br /> AND ADVERTISING FOR BIDS FOR THE PROPOSED PROJECTS. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 7.3. Update on City Hall — (Liberty Tool Building) <br /> Mike Loven updated the Council on the progress of the retrofitting of the newly <br /> purchased city hall building. He noted that work is being done on the fire walls <br /> and doors. He requested permission to go out for bids for the elevator and <br /> cement work.. <br />
