City Council Minutes <br /> March 3, 2004 <br /> Page 5 <br /> ---------------------------- <br /> Mike Lyonais and Tom Koop were present to discuss the services they provided <br /> to the city in relation to the city's accounting procedures. It was recommended <br /> that the city's accounting procedures in relation to the number of funds was very <br /> complex and could be simplified. It was also noted that some discrepancies were <br /> corrected and recommendations were made to staff to make the accounting <br /> procedures easier to perform and to understand. <br /> 11.2. Review Financial Reports <br /> Nancy Rudbeck reviewed the accounting recommendations. She noted that she <br /> would like to wait until after the audit to formally adopt any procedural changes. <br /> She distributed different forms of financial reports and asked the Council to let <br /> her know what type of reports they prefer. <br /> 11.3. Board of Review <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL MEETING OF <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL ON MAY 11, 2004, AT 10:00 A.M. AT CROW WING <br /> COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF HOLDING THE BOARD OF REVIEW <br /> MEETING. COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 11.4. Premise Permit for American Legion Auxiliary#49 <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 04-005 <br /> APPROVING PREMISE PERMIT FOR AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY#49 <br /> TO CONDUCT BINGO FROM JUNE 1, 2004 TO MAY 31, 2006. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER JOHNSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 11.5. City Hall Update <br /> The City Clerk noted that closings on the Sibley building and the Maintenance <br /> building would take place in March. She also noted that the city has closed on <br /> the Liberty Tool building. <br /> The City Clerk recommended that the City list the existing city hall building with a <br /> commercial realtor. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO REQUEST PROPOSALS FOR THE <br /> SALE OF THE EXISTING CITY HALL BUILDING FROM THREE REALTORS. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION.
