American Planning Association Annual Conference <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO AUTHORIZE DAWN BITTNER TO <br /> ATTEND THE AMERICAN PLANNING ASSOCIATION ANNUAL <br /> CONFERENCE. COUNCIL MEMBER JOHNSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 7. Fire Chiefs Report <br /> Chief Nelson presented the 2003 annual report and the February report. <br /> 12.1. Update on Liberty Tool Purchase <br /> 12.2. Update on Sale of City Buildings <br /> The City Clerk updated the Council on the status of the Liberty Tool purchase <br /> and the building sales. She noted that there is a signed contract on the <br /> maintenance building and a signed contract on the Sibley building, which has a <br /> contingency on a zoning issue. The Clerk questioned whether the Council <br /> wanted to remove the contingency on the purchase agreement for the Liberty <br /> Tool building pertaining to the City selling two of its buildings. The Council <br /> concurred that the contingency would be removed. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE <br /> MAYOR TO WAIVE CONTINGENCY "I" REGARDING THE SALE OF TWO OF <br /> THE CITY BUILDINGS ON THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE <br /> LIBERTY TOOL BUILDING. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> The City Clerk indicated that the City has received an offer on the City Hall <br /> building for $225,000. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO COUNTER OFFER AT THE <br /> ASKING PRICE. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 8.1. Request to Purchase Attachment for Backhoe <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE STREET <br /> DEPARTMENT TO PURCHASE AN ATTACHMENT FOR THE BACKHOE AT <br /> ABOUT $2,300. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 9.1. Update on Water Tower Incident <br />
