City Council Minutes <br /> September 6, 2005 <br /> Page 9 of 12 <br /> -------------------------- <br /> 11.2. Capital Planninq Software <br /> The City Clerk presented the Council with a proposal for purchasing <br /> software that would assist the City in putting together a 5-year capital <br /> improvement program. The software is called Plan-it and costs $825 to <br /> purchase with a renewal cost of one-half of the cost of the original <br /> software. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO PURCHASE THE CAPITAL <br /> IMPROVEMENT SOFTWARE CALLED PLAN IT AT $825.00. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> The Council requested the Clerk to check references on the software. <br /> 11.3. Cable Commission Update <br /> The clerk informed the Council that the Heartland Cable Commission is <br /> considering the purchase of equipment that would allow the City to tape <br /> the council meetings and play them back on the Charter public access <br /> channel. <br /> 11.4. Certify Truth In Taxation Hearing Date <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER MOVED TO HOLD THE TRUTH IN <br /> TAXATION HEARING ON DECEMBER 6, 2005, AT 6:00 P.M. AND THE <br /> SUBSEQUENT HEARING, IF NEEDED, ON DECEMBER 13, 2005 AT <br /> 6:00 P.M. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 11.5. HAVA <br /> The Clerk updated the Council on the HAVA law that requires each polling <br /> place to have a voting machine for disabled voters by the September 2006 <br /> election. She indicated that the cost to purchase the machine will be <br /> federally funded. <br /> 11.6. Board of Appeal Training <br /> The Clerk updated the Council on the training requirements for the Board <br /> of Appeal Training. Council Member Bolz-Andolshek and Council Member <br /> Sjoblad volunteered to attend the training. <br /> L <br />
