July 29, 2005 Page 5 of 8
Pequot Lakes
Government Drive Proposal
III. Feasibility Report
Prepare topographic maps of existing conditions from the survey data.
Determine with the Council the assessment policy for this project.
Prepare the feasibility report, including an opinion of probable construction
cost, based on the preliminary layout of street and storm sewer $10,800
improvements.
This Feasibility Report is not only required for the special assessment
process but it gives the City an idea of cost so that financial/funding
arrangements can begin and any adjustments can be made prior to final
design.
IV. Assessment Process
Assist the City with preliminary assessment notices and hearing.
Assist the City with final assessment notices and hearing.
L'
In both cases, we will prepare the individual notices and conduct the $4,100
hearings while the City will mail out all notices.
Any adjustments required due to comments during these hearings would
be treated as additional work and its scope would be determined once the
extent of work from the comments are determined.
V. Soil Borings
Prepare a Request For Proposal, send to soil boring/geotechnical
consultants, obtain those proposals for the City, and assist them in
selecting a consultant.
Survey-in the borings and provide to the City's soil boring/geotechnical $1,900
consultant.
We are estimating the City should budget $5,000 for soil borings and a
geotechnical report, the cost of which is not included in our scope.
CADocuments and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLKB\Government Drive proposal-July 29
2005.doc
