July 5, 2005 * * * DRAFT* * * Page 5 of 7 <br /> Pequot Lakes <br /> Government Drive Proposal <br /> Final Design <br /> Prepare final plans, specifications, and opinion of probable construction <br /> cost. <br /> Prepare Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) National Pollutant <br /> Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Stormwater Permit as <br /> well as the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). <br /> Meet with City personnel for review. <br /> Finalize plans and specifications based on City reviews. <br /> Send to Crow Wing County Highway Department and MnDOT for possible <br /> coordination with CSAH 11/Main Street and MnDOT's proposed 4-lane TH <br /> 371 improvements. $xxxx <br /> City is to pay any permit fees. <br /> Any adjustments to this design from the County's or MnDOT's comments <br /> would be treated as additional work and its scope would be determined <br /> once the County's and MnDOT's comments were received. <br /> Land Acquisition <br /> It is our understanding that portions of Government Drive are or will be on <br /> Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Right-of-Way (R/W). <br /> We also anticipate that there will be some permanent easement and/or <br /> property acquisitions required for the storm sewer system. $0 <br /> As the scope of such property work (plats, descriptions, easements, <br /> acquisitions, etc.) are not yet known, these tasks would be treated as <br /> additional work and its scope would be determined once the property work <br /> was determined. <br /> Funding <br /> Even if special assessments are used, we anticipate that the City will need <br /> to bond for these improvements. <br /> The information and opinions of probably construction cost that we prepare <br /> as part of our above tasks normally suffice for the City's funding <br /> consultants. $0 <br /> If additional information requests are required, these would be treated as <br /> additional work and the scope would be determined once these requests <br /> are known. <br /> Bidding <br /> Prepare an advertisement for bids and submit to Construction Bulletin and <br /> newspapers. <br /> Issue Contract Documents to bidders, address bidders' questions, issue <br /> addenda as required, attend bid opening, and prepare tabulation of bids <br /> and recommendation of award. $xxxx <br /> City is to pay any advertisement costs. <br /> Total Through Bidding: Lump Sum $xxxx <br /> CADocuments and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLKB\Draft Government Drive proposal.doc <br />
