r Loven motioned to purchase 2 more ice rescue suits at an estimated cost of$400.00 each to help complete our ice rescue operation, second by oaks, motion passed. These will be paid for from our ice auger funds. The Chief reported that Janices in the Pines apartments and the Breezy Point Ice Arena have piles of snow in front, or blocking, our access to hydrants or water supply connections. We will notify them to take care of this. There will be a fire grant work shop class at CLC on February 24th from 7 to 10 pm for anyone interested. Our next meeting will be CPR certification classes, starting at 6:00 pm. This will include a brief first aid refresher also. Jeremy and Bill have someone who is willing to donate an 8 by 8 aluminum trailer to us. Kirk may know of a snowmobile donation. We will accept anything we can get. We would like to someday get an enclosed trailer for an ATV. Jeremy also is planning a training class at High Village, to explore fire fighting a 3 story building. Roger and Jeremy will also be working with inspections of commercial buildings in our fire district to help our ISO rating. They could use any volunteers willing to help. Peterson I will work with both schools. Our non-emergency phone number should also be listed in the phone directory. Access keys to both schools are in the Knox boxes by the doors at both locations. Neil asked if we have keys for TDS. We will check. The school supposed to get us a key for the alarm panel. Jeremy asked about the last rescue call which was cancelled. He saw the car laying on its roof, and leaking fuel, etc. No one was trapped, or needed help, so law enforcement cancelled us. We received bad directions to the recent snowmobile rescue in Loon Lake Township. We should say names of residences where locations are, so we can find them faster. An estimate for materials for enclosing our meeting area with two floor construction was about $6500.00. That does not include a stair. Other estimates will be made also. We could use a good long term plan on what we want to do. The Chief announced that all Fire Fighter 1 class personnel passed their tests and we have a cake in their honor.
