Union, work normally done or which could be done by employees covered by this <br />Agreement; to determine the utilization of technology; to establish, modify, <br />eliminate ar otherwise change the organizational structure; to determine <br />qualifications for positions, determine the content of any job and the duties <br />assigned thereto, and the methods and techniques of work; to evaluate the <br />performance of all employees; and to manage and administer the Employer's <br />operations. <br />ARTICLE 4 <br />PRODUCTIVITY <br />4.1 Employees are expected to honor the principle of "A fair day's work for a fair <br />day's pay." The continuecf success and operation of this Department is dependent <br />upon delivery of excetlent services to our citizens. <br />4.2 Empioyees are expected io be present for all scheduied shifts. <br />4.3 AII employees are required to begin work pramptly a� their designated starting <br />time, and upon completion af ineal times and rest periods. <br />ARTICLE 5 <br />UNION SECURITY <br />5.1 Dues Check Off. The Employer shail deduct from the tivages of employees who <br />authorize such a deductian in writing, beginning with the first payroll period <br />following the employee's iirst ninety {90) calendar days of employment, an <br />amount necessary to cover monthly Union dues. Monthly dues so deducted, <br />together with a list of employees from whom deductions were made, and the <br />amount of such deductions, shall be forwarded tv the Union �vithin thirty (30) <br />days. <br />5.2 Fair Share Fee. In acco��dance with Minnesota Statute 179A.06, subd. 3, the <br />Union may require the Employer to deduct from the wages of each member af the <br />bargaining unit who is not a rnember af the Union, a fair share fee. Such <br />deductions shall be made in the sarne manner as dues under Section I of this <br />Articie. <br />5.3 The Union agrees to indemnify and hold the Employer harmless againsf any and <br />ail claims, suits, orders, or judgments brought or issued against the Employer as a <br />result af any action taken or not taken by the Employer under the provisions of <br />paragraphs 5.1 or 5.2 of this Article. <br />Zz�9a-a 3 <br />� <br />� <br />
