City Council Minutes <br /> January 3, 2006 <br /> Page 6 <br /> ---------------------------- <br /> 9.2. Police Equipment <br /> Chief Braam reviewed the proposal for purchasing a 2005 Ford Expedition <br /> 4x4 from the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe. The proposal is for a 2005 Ford <br /> Expedition with 10,200 miles for a purchase price of $20,000 which <br /> includes the Expedition Police Package, push bumper, LED Light <br /> Package, and 100 Watt police radio. Chief Braam indicated that $7,500 of <br /> the funds would come from the 2006 police budget and the remaining <br /> $12,500 would come out of the 2007 police budget. <br /> Chief Braam reviewed the proposal for the leasing of a Harley Davidson <br /> Motor Cycle for$1 per month for 12 months. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED LEASE THE POLICE HARLEY <br /> DAVIDSON MOTORCYCLE FROM DONAHUE SPORTS AND TO <br /> PURCHASE THE 2005 EXPEDITION FROM THE MILLE LACS BAND <br /> OF OJIBWE FOR $20,000. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 9.3. Sibley Park Public Parking <br /> Chief of Police Braam recommended clarifying an overnight parking issue <br /> on Sibley Lake Park by placing signage that reads: "No parking from 2 am <br /> — 6 am." The signage would remain year-round. He indicated that currently <br /> the sign states "No overnight Parking." The Chief indicated that at times it <br /> is difficult to tell if the vehicle has actually been in the parking spot <br /> overnight, especially if tickets are issued at 3 a.m. —4 a.m. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO APPROVE SIGNAGE AT <br /> SIBLEY PARK TO STATE "NO PARKING FROM 2 A.M. TO 6 A.M." <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 10. Clerk's Report <br /> Report by City Clerk Sandy Peine. <br /> 10.1. Resolution Adopting 2006 Fee Schedule <br /> The Clerk presented the 2006 fee schedule for review. The Council had <br /> questions on the following issues: <br /> ■ Explanation of Winter Interment Fee <br /> ■ Review cost for an on site sanitary sewer commercial inspection <br />
