Police Equipment Chief Braam reviewed the proposal for purchasing a 2005 Ford Expedition 4x4 from the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe. The proposal is for a 2005 Ford Expedition with 10,200 miles for a purchase price of $20,000 which includes the Expedition Police Package, push bumper, LED Light Package, and 100 Watt police radio. Chief Braam indicated that $7,500 of the funds would come from the 2006 police budget and the remaining $12,500 would come out of the 2007 police budget. Chief Braam reviewed the proposal for the leasing of a Harley Davidson Motor Cycle for$1 per month for 12 months. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED LEASE THE POLICE HARLEY DAVIDSON MOTORCYCLE FROM DONAHUE SPORTS AND TO PURCHASE THE 2005 EXPEDITION FROM THE MILLE LACS BAND OF OJIBWE FOR $20,000. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 9.3. Sibley Park Public Parking Chief of Police Braam recommended clarifying an overnight parking issue on Sibley Lake Park by placing signage that reads: "No parking from 2 am — 6 am." The signage would remain year-round. He indicated that currently the sign states "No overnight Parking." The Chief indicated that at times it is difficult to tell if the vehicle has actually been in the parking spot overnight, especially if tickets are issued at 3 a.m. —4 a.m. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO APPROVE SIGNAGE AT SIBLEY PARK TO STATE "NO PARKING FROM 2 A.M. TO 6 A.M." COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. 10. Clerk's Report Report by City Clerk Sandy Peine. 10.1. Resolution Adopting 2006 Fee Schedule The Clerk presented the 2006 fee schedule for review. The Council had questions on the following issues: ■ Explanation of Winter Interment Fee ■ Review cost for an on site sanitary sewer commercial inspection
