Water/Wastewater Report <br /> Report by Brett Twardy. <br /> 8.1. Consider Increase in WAC/SAC Fees <br /> Brett Twardy informed the Council that he is recommending an increase in <br /> the sewer and water availability charges from $500 (WAC) and $700 <br /> (SAC) to $4,900 (WAC) and $4,900 (SAC). Brett indicated that the <br /> purpose of increasing the fees is to increase the reserves for future <br /> improvements to the water and wastewater facilities. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO INCREASE THE SEWER <br /> AVAILABILITY (SAC) FEE TO $4,900 PER UNIT AND THE WATER <br /> AVAILABILITY (WAC) FEE TO $4,900 PER UNIT. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> �-- Corky Smith, developer of Trailside Estates indicated that this increase <br /> would add $630,000 to his project. He stated that this would drive <br /> affordable housing away from the project and will slow development. <br /> Corky Smith indicated that he would either have to put in his own water <br /> and sewer system or not development in Pequot Lakes. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-2. COUNCIL MEMBERS GREER AND NAGEL <br /> VOTED AGAINST THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Bolz-Andolshek stated that he would like to work with <br /> Corky Smith to keep his development in the City. <br /> 9. Police Report <br /> Report by Chief Braam. <br /> 9.1. Jenkins/Peguot Lakes Police Contract <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 06- <br /> 01, LAW ENFORCEMENT CONTRACT AND JOINT POWERS <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES AND THE <br /> CITY OF JENKINS. COUNCIL MEMBER GREER SECONDED THE <br /> � MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br />
