COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. THE AMENDMENT CARRIED 7-0. <br /> THE MOTION AS AMENDED CARRIED 7-0. <br /> The Council requested staff to request the County Board to abate the <br /> taxes for the building. <br /> 6. Planning and Zoning Monthly Report <br /> Report by Dawn Bittner. <br /> 6.1. Rezoning from Forestry to Agriculture Brian and Taffie Goerges <br /> 6.2. Rezoning from Forestry to Agriculture and Forest management. Josef and <br /> Agnes Goerges <br /> Staff report presented by Dawn Butner. Ms. Butner noted that the Planning <br /> `.. Commission recommended that the property be rezoned to forest <br /> management for items 6.1 and 6.2. The Council concurred with the <br /> Planning Commission's recommendation. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 06-09 <br /> AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP FOR THE CITY OF PEQUOT <br /> LAKES FOR GOERGES PROPERTY. COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 6.3. Preliminary Plat of Trailside Estates Carl and Colleen Smith <br /> Lisa Barajas presented the staff report. She noted that the applicant is <br /> proposing to subdivide the property into 53 lots. She stated that the <br /> Planning Commission is recommending approval of the preliminary plat <br /> based on findings of fact and conditions. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER GREER MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br /> PRELIMINARY PLAT OF TRAILSIDE ESTATES AS REQUESTED BY <br /> CARL AND COLLEEN SMITH BASED ON 16 FINDINGS OF FACT AND <br /> 8 CONDITIONS LISTED IN THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> DATED APRIL 21, 2006. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br />
