Peguot Lakes Library Board — Resolution Amendment and Board Member <br /> Appointment <br /> The Clerk indicated that the Library Board is requesting an amendment to <br /> Resolution 03128 to allow non-city residents to be appointed to the Library <br /> Board. She indicated that because the Library does not receive at least <br /> half of its financial support from public funds, it is not officially considered <br /> a public library. Therefore, the board does not have to abide by the State <br /> Statute which requires that all board members be City residents. The <br /> Clerk indicated that the Library Board is requesting that the Resolution <br /> language state "a majority of the members will be from the City of Pequot <br /> Lakes." The Clerk indicated that Board Member Lydia Loven was present <br /> to answer any questions. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 06- <br /> 15 RESCINDING RESOLUTION 03128 AND ADOPTING RESOLUTION <br /> 06-15 ESTABLISHING A LIBRARY BOARD FOR PEQUOT LAKES <br /> LIBRARY. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPOINT ANN <br /> HUTCHINGS TO THE LIBRARY BOARD FOR A THREE YEAR TERM <br /> FROM 4/4/06 — 12/31/08 AND TO REAPPOINT CLAIR NAGEL FOR A <br /> THREE YEAR TERM FROM 4/4/06 — 12/31/08. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> PFEIFFER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 6. Planning and Zoning Monthly Report and 2006 Yearly Goals <br /> Report and goals presented to Council. <br /> 6.1. Rezoning from Transition Residential to Agriculture — Larson <br /> Dawn Bittner, Zoning Administrator, presented the staff report. She noted <br /> that Kelly and Bridget Larson are requesting to rezone their property from <br /> Transition Residential to Agricultural. Ms. Bittner noted that the Planning <br /> Commission recommended approval based on findings of fact. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 06-07 <br /> AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP TO REZONE PROPERTY <br /> FROM TRANSITIONAL RESIDENTIAL TO AGRICULTURE BASED ON <br /> THE FINDINGS OF FACT LISTED IN THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S <br /> REPORT. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> �.. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br />
