City Council Minutes <br /> August 1, 2006 <br /> Page 6 of 10 <br /> ---------------------------- <br /> City Engineer Tim Houle updated the Council on the PPL list process. He <br /> indicated that the two wastewater projects, rehabilitation of existing <br /> sanitary sewers, and sewer improvements associated with the Highway <br /> 371 Corridor both obtained 40 points and were ranked 111 and 112. The <br /> water project (the watermain improvements associated with the Highway <br /> 371 corridor improvements) obtained 10 points and was ranked Number <br /> 92. <br /> 12.1. Employee Parking <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER MOVED THAT CITY EMPLOYEES <br /> PARK ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE CITY HALL BUILDING TO ALLOW <br /> THE PUBLIC VISITING CITY HALL TO PARK CLOSER TO THE <br /> ENTRANCE. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 12.2. Primary Election Judges <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 06-27 <br /> APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE 2006 PRIMARY <br /> ELECTION ON SEPTEMBER 12, 2006. COUNCIL MEMBER PFEIFFER <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 12.3. Bobber Park Concept <br /> Del Anderson, Park Board Chair, reviewed the proposed concept for the <br /> Bobber Park. The Clerk suggested that the $5,000 Cable Funds be used <br /> to build the park. She also suggested that Park Dedication funds be used <br /> if more than $5,000 is required. <br /> MAYOR MALECHA MOVED TO APPROVE THE PARK CONCEPT <br /> RECOMMENDED BY THE PARK BOARD FOR THE BOBBER PARK. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 6-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO USE THE CABLE GRANT OF <br /> $5,000 FOR COSTS INCURRED TO BUILD THE PARK. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 6-0. <br /> Del Anderson indicated that he had a bid of$3,840 to pour a 26 x 40 foot <br /> cement slab which is the beginning of the project. The Council noted that <br /> two bids would have to be received prior to authorizing the job. <br />
