BLADC <br /> Sheila Haverkamp of BLADC gave a presentation to the Council in relation <br /> to the 2020 Plan. Following the presentation she requested the Council to <br /> support the project. She requested that the council consider donating <br /> $5,000 toward the project. The Council indicated it would consider this <br /> request during budget review. <br /> Amy Collins of BLADC gave the Council a mid-year report of activities that <br /> took place in the City of Pequot Lakes. <br /> 8. Water/Wastewater Report <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED THAT THE WAC AND SAC <br /> FEES BE PLACED IN SEPARATE FUNDS AND THAT THE MONEY IN <br /> THESE TWO FUNDS BE USE ONLY FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE <br /> WATERIWASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES, AND FURTHER <br /> THAT ANY MONEY GENERATED FROM WAC AND SAC FEES IN THE <br /> YEARS 2005 AND 2006 BE PLACED IN THE DEDICATED WAC AND <br /> SAC FUNDS. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 8.1. Northeast Sanitary Sewer Improvements <br /> Brett Twardy reviewed the information provided by Tim Houle. He <br /> indicated that due to possible failing septics along County Road 11, he is <br /> proposing extension of sanitary sewer east from County Road 112 at a <br /> location approximately '/2 block north of County Road 11. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO AUTHORIZE <br /> ENGINEERING FEES FOR THE PROJECT. MAYOR MALECHA <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Council discussion pursued regarding the cost to property owners for an <br /> assessment of this nature. It was suggested that septic inspections be <br /> completed for properties included in the proposed project area to see if, in <br /> fact, there are septics that are failing. <br /> THE MOTION WAS WITHDRAWN. <br /> It was suggested that the Mayor, Brett Twardy, and Dawn Bittner contact <br /> the owners to discuss the situation with them. <br />
