The Planning Commission is recommending that <br /> Section 8.1, Subdivision C of the Land Use and subdivision ordinance be <br /> amended to increase the impervious coverage in the transition residential <br /> zone. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 06-15 <br /> AMENDING SECTION 8.1 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO DEFINE <br /> THE MAXIMUM COVERAGE BY STRUCTURES. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> PFEIFFER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 6.3. Sign Fee <br /> Dawn Bittner noted that Sharon Thurlow Executive Director of the HRA <br /> has requested that the Council waive the sign permit fee for a required <br /> sign identifying the West Grove Townhome project. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO WAIVE THE $100 SIGN <br /> PERMIT FEE FOR THE HRA. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> Council Member Ryan stated that he had previously requested clarification <br /> as to how and when citizens are being billed for Planning and Zoning <br /> permits and violations. Dawn responded that the Planning Commission <br /> and Zoning Department are working on clarifying the ordinance on this <br /> issue. <br /> 4. Open Forum <br /> Curt Johnson, 10253 Strawberry Lake Road, Pequot Lakes, introduced <br /> the Pequot Lakes Coalition of Citizens and Business who have formed in <br /> response to the resolution adopted on June 6th by the Council in relation to <br /> the Highway 371 issue. He invited the Council and anyone else interested <br /> to come to the regular meetings on Friday mornings at 7 a.m. at the Oasis <br /> Restaurant. <br /> 7. Fire Chief's Report <br /> The Fire Chief requested the Council to approve the purchase of an <br /> ambulance for $1,500 that is being offered by North ambulance. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE <br /> OF THE AMBULANCE FROM NORTH AMBULANCE FOR $1,500. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 6-0. <br />
