All costs for the City Engineer to review the construction drawings, specifications <br /> (using City Engineers Association of MN and MnDOT specifications) and a unit price/line <br /> item cost estimate prior to the developer selecting a contractor and moving forward with <br /> construction. <br /> We estimate the cost for this item to be approximately$1,700. <br /> Item 5. All costs for the City Engineer to observe the construction. <br /> For the purpose of this estimate, we have assumed a 6-week construction period. <br /> This may vary substantially depending on the contractor selected and the <br /> contractor's schedule. <br /> Based on this 6-week construction period, we estimate the costs for this item to be <br /> approximately$22,900 if full-time observation is desired(which is what Brett Twardy <br /> recommended) or$5,400 if part-time observation is desired. <br /> Item 6. All costs for any consultant the City may need to contact, with developers consent. <br /> We do not have an estimate of our time%ffort on this item until its scope is better <br /> defined. <br /> We hope that these estimates are helpful in your discussions on this project.
