Consider Hiring Maintenance Worker <br /> Council Member Sjoblad indicated that the interview process has been <br /> completed. He indicated that the City received 132 applications. Council <br /> Member Sjoblad recommended that Lance Ray be hired at Step 5, $14.06 <br /> per hour. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO HIRE LANCE RAY AS THE <br /> CITY'S MAINTENANCE WORKER WITH THE FOLLOWING <br /> CONDITIONS: <br /> 1. BEGINNING WAGE AT STEP 5, $14.06 PER HOUR <br /> 2. SIX MONTH PROBATION PERIOD <br /> 3. NEXT INCREASE TO STEP 6 ON JANUARY 1, 2007 <br /> 4. CONTINGENT ON SUCCESSFUL DRUG TEST <br /> 5. STARTING DAY MARCH 6, 2006 <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Ryan questioned the process of verifying all information on the <br /> application. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK MOVED TO AMEND THE <br /> MOTION TO INCLUDE THAT THE OFFER IS CONTINGENT ON ALL <br /> INFORMATION IN THE APPLICATION BEING VERIFIED. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE AMENDMENT. <br /> THE AMENDMENT PASSED 5-0. <br /> THE MOTION AS AMENDED CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 11.2. No Snowmobiling Signs on Sidewalks <br /> The Council reviewed a request to place no snowmobiling signs along the <br /> sidewalks in the downtown area. The purpose of the signs is to keep the <br /> snowmobilers from packing down the snow on the sidewalks. The Council <br /> discussed the issue and decided to review Ordinance 141 relating to <br /> sidewalks and to discuss the snowmobile issue in the fall. <br /> 12.1. Storm Drainage Utility Fee <br /> Tim Houle reviewed the storm water utility drainage fee. He noted that the <br /> fee is currently being charged only to residents who were not part of <br /> Sibley Township. He indicated that the Council has requested staff to <br />
