City Council Minutes <br /> September 5, 2006 <br /> Page 5of11 <br /> ---------------------------- <br /> Council Member Bolz-Andolshek indicated that although the <br /> comprehensive plan calls for these areas to be zoned downtown mixed <br /> use, he is voting in favor of urban residential due to the number of <br /> property owners who are requesting that the property be zoned urban <br /> residential. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO APPROVE PUBLISHING A <br /> SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE 06-17. COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 7.6. Rezoning Request from Forest Management to Commercial, Dan Couture, <br /> Applicant <br /> Report by Dawn Bittner. The property in question lies north of downtown <br /> on the east side of Highway 371 and is 20 acres in size. The Planning <br /> Commission recommends that the rezoning request is denied based on <br /> eight findings of fact. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO DENY THE REQUEST TO <br /> �. REZONE THE PROPERTY TO COMMERCIAL BASED ON THE <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT. COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Ryan noted that there were no findings of fact listed that <br /> were relative to the City Attorney's opinion as to the zoning classification <br /> prior to the land use change. He requested an opinion from the City <br /> Attorney. <br /> It was the consensus of the Council that more information from the <br /> Attorney should be provided. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK WITHDREW HIS SECOND. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD WITHDREW HIS MOTION. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO TABLE THE REZONING. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER BOLZ-ANDOLSHEK SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br /> 7.7.
