June 28, 2006 <br /> The Honorable Mayor and City Council <br /> City of Pequot Lakes <br /> 4368 County Road 11 <br /> Pequot Lakes, MN 56472 <br /> RE: Engineering Services Proposal <br /> Northeast Sanitary Sewer Improvements <br /> Dear Mayor and Members of the Council: <br /> The City of Pequot Lakes is considering extension of its sanitary sewer system east from <br /> County Road 112 at a location approximately% block north of County Road 11. This extension <br /> will be roughly 400 feet long and provide service to several businesses along County Road 11 <br /> as well as City Hall. <br /> WSN proposes the following scope of services for completing the above work: <br /> Tasks Lump Sum <br /> Field Survey & Utility Locations <br /> A field survey will be completed to document conditions at the site, <br /> including topography and property boundaries. This survey will <br /> include a current update on utilities. $31400 <br /> Final Design and Assessment Process <br /> Prepare cost estimate and feasibility report based on preliminary <br /> layout of utility and street extensions. Assist City with assessment <br /> process through preliminary and final assessment hearings. Prepare <br /> final plans and specifications with quantity and detail sheets. Issue <br /> application to MPCA for utility work (City to pay application fees). <br /> Meet with City personnel for final review and approval. Finalize <br /> plans and specifications based on regulatory agency and City <br /> reviews. $4,300 <br /> Bidding <br /> Assist City in advertising project for public bidding (City to pay any <br /> advertisement fees). Issue contract documents to bidders, address <br /> bidder questions, issue addenda as required, attend bid opening and <br /> prepare tabulation of bids. 1 $ 1,100 <br /> Total Survey, Assessment, Design, and Bidding: Lump Sum $8,800 <br />
