SECTION H <br />MEMBERS SHALL BE PAID $15.00 EACH FOR ATTENDANCE AT A DEPARTMENT BUSINESS OR TRAINING MEETING, <br />ANY SPECIAL MEETING GIVEN PROPER NOTICE, OR ANY OFFICERS MEETING. MEMBERS SHALLAL50 BE PAID <br />$15.00 FOR EACH ATTENDANCE AT A FIRE CALL, REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY HOURS OF SERVICE IS REQUIRED. <br />THESE PAYMENTS SHALL BE MADE ANNUALLY BY THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES. IT SHALL BE THE DUTY OF THE <br />SECRETARY-TREASURER TO SUBMIT A RECORD TO THE CITY COUNCIL ON AN ANNUAL BASIS FOR PAYMENT <br />REQUEST. THESE PAYMENTS SHALL BE MADE IN DECEMBER OF EACH YEAR. <br />ARTICLE III - CODE OF CONDUCT <br />$ECTION 1 <br />TO ENSURE THAT EVERY MEMBER HOLDS AND MAINTAINS THE PUBLIC�S TRUST TO THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE <br />STANDARDS, MEMBERS MUST BE PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS IN THEIR INTERACTIONS WITH THE PUBLIC <br />AND ONE ANOTHER. MEMBERS REPRESENT THE DEPARTMENT AND ARE EXPECTED TO CONDUCT THEMSELVES <br />WITH THE HIGHEST DEGREE OF ETHICAL BEHAVIOR AND INTEGRITY. <br />IT IS THE POLICY OF THIS DEPARTMENT THAT: <br />-� <br />-1 <br />1. A MEMBERS FUNDAMENTAL DUTY IS TO PROTECT OR SAVE LIVES AND SAFEGUARD PROPERTY IN THE <br />SERVICE OF HIS OR HER COMMUNITY. <br />2. A MEMBER SHALL SET A GOOD EXAMPLE IN ALL ACTIONS AND DEEDS. <br />3. A MEMBER SHALL CONSTANTLY STRIVE TO ACHIEVE THE HIGH OBJECTIVES AND IDEALS OF THIS <br />DEPARTMENT AND SHALL CONDUCT HIM�HERSELF AT ALL TIMES, BOTH ON AND OFF DUTY, IN SUCH A <br />MANNER AS TO REFLECT MOST FAVORABLY ON THE DEPARTMENT. <br />4. A MEMBER SHALL HOLD AND MAINTAIN THE PUBLIC�S TRUST TO THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE STANDARDS. <br />5. ANY ACT OR VIOLATION THAT CALLS TO QUESTION THE INTEGRITY OF A PUBLIC SAFETY PROVIDER SHALL <br />BE VIEWED SERIOUSLY, AND DEALT WITH IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DISCIPLINARY SECTION OF THESE <br />BYLAWS. <br />E. CONDUCT UNBECOMING A MEMBER SHALL INCLUDE THAT WHICH BRINGS THE DEPARTMENT INTO <br />DISREPUTE, OR REFLECTS DISCREDIT UPON THE DEPARTMENT, OR THEIR INTEGRITY AS A MEMBER OF <br />THE DEPARTMENT, OR THAT WHICH IMPAIRS THE OPERATION, EFFICIENCY, OR SAFETY OF THE <br />DEPARTMENT OR MEMBER, OR THAT WHICH VIOLATES THE PUBLIC TRUST IN THE DEPARTMENT. <br />7. HARASSMENT OF OTHER MEMBERS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, VERBAL AND PHYSICAL CONDUCT <br />OR UNWELCOME ADVANCES WITH REGARD TO OR ON THE BASIS OF SEX, RACE, COLOR, NATIONAL <br />ORIGIN, RELIGION, OR AGE SHALL NOT BE TOLERATED. <br />8. MEMBERS SHALL PROMPTLY OBEY ALL ORDERS AND DIRECTIVES THAT ARE GIVEN BY AN OFFICER OF THE <br />DEPARTMENT THAT ARE BOTH LAWFUL AND IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE BYLAWS OF THE DEPARTMENT. � <br />
