City Council Minutes <br />October 2, 2012 <br />Page 7 of 10 <br />STREET. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />9.2. Acceptance of Land Donation <br />Park Commission member Patti Bonicatto stated that the Park <br />Commission is recommending that the City accept a land donation of <br />approximately 64 acres of land on the east and west sides of the south <br />end of Mayo Lake. The land is in a conservation easement with the <br />Minnesota Land Trust which places restrictions on the land. Ms. Bonicatto <br />stated that the Park Commission feels the land could be used as a rustic <br />park and is recommending that the Council accept the donation. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 12- <br />30 ACCEPTING REAL ESTATE FROM MR. INGATIUS <br />O'SHAUGHNESSY. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. <br />Council Member Akerson questioned the length of the trails and future <br />work load on the City. Council Member Ryan questioned the amount of <br />taxes currently being paid on the land. Ms. Bonicatto stated that the park <br />�- would be kept natural and that the work load on the City should be <br />minimal. The Mayor stated that the taxes on the property located in <br />Pequot Lakes are minimal. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />10. Enqineer's Report <br />Tim Houle updated the Council on the Government Drive project. <br />11. Clerk's Report <br />Report accepted by Council. <br />11.1. Job Evaluation Committee Recommendations <br />The Clerk explained that the staff has been re-evaluating the needs of the <br />Clerk and Zoning departments. She explained that what spurred this re- <br />evaluation is the fact that Jeanyne Alderson will be working full time in the <br />Police Department beginning in January. <br />Following review of this proposal by the Job Evaluation Committee, the <br />�- following recommendations are being made to the Council: <br />
