City Council Minutes October 2, 2012 Page 7 of 10 STREET. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 9.2. Acceptance of Land Donation Park Commission member Patti Bonicatto stated that the Park Commission is recommending that the City accept a land donation of approximately 64 acres of land on the east and west sides of the south end of Mayo Lake. The land is in a conservation easement with the Minnesota Land Trust which places restrictions on the land. Ms. Bonicatto stated that the Park Commission feels the land could be used as a rustic park and is recommending that the Council accept the donation. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 12- 30 ACCEPTING REAL ESTATE FROM MR. INGATIUS O'SHAUGHNESSY. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. Council Member Akerson questioned the length of the trails and future work load on the City. Council Member Ryan questioned the amount of taxes currently being paid on the land. Ms. Bonicatto stated that the park �- would be kept natural and that the work load on the City should be minimal. The Mayor stated that the taxes on the property located in Pequot Lakes are minimal. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 10. Enqineer's Report Tim Houle updated the Council on the Government Drive project. 11. Clerk's Report Report accepted by Council. 11.1. Job Evaluation Committee Recommendations The Clerk explained that the staff has been re-evaluating the needs of the Clerk and Zoning departments. She explained that what spurred this re- evaluation is the fact that Jeanyne Alderson will be working full time in the Police Department beginning in January.
