� <br />� <br />City Council Minutes <br />October 2, 2012 <br />Page 6 of 10 <br />E <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE THE JOINT <br />POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE LAW ENFORCEMENT <br />DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES AND THE <br />COUNTY OF CROW WING FOR THE RECORDS MANAGEMENT <br />SYSTEM, THE COMPUTER AIDED DISPATCHING SYSTEM AND THE <br />MOBIL SYSTEMS. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />Public Works <br />Water and Sewer reports received by Council. <br />9.1. Request to Hire Maintenance Worker <br />9.2 <br />Mike Loven informed the Council that the interview process to hire a <br />maintenance worker is complete. He requested the Council to hire Pete <br />Clement as the City's maintenance worker. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO;HIRE PETE CLEMENT AS <br />THE CITY MAINTENANCE WORKER EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 17, 2012 <br />WITH THE FOLLOWING STIPULATIONS: <br />• HOURLY RATE WILL BE AT STEP 6 OF THE PAY SCALE -$15.85 <br />• SIX-MONTH PROBATION <br />• AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE SIX-MONTH <br />PROBATIONARY PERIOD, HE WILL RECEIVE A PAY INCREASE <br />BASED ON WHAT NON-UNION EMPLOYEES RECEIVED FOR 2013 <br />(IF ANY) <br />•'' VACATION, SICK LEAVE, HOLIDAYS, PERSONAL DAYS, AND <br />LIFE INSURANCE BENEFITS WILL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH <br />THE CITY'S PERSONNEL POLICY <br />COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />Stop Sian Installation <br />Mike Loven requested the Council to install a stop sign at the intersection <br />of West Woodman Street and Olson Street. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 12- <br />29 AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF A STOP SIGN AT THE <br />�- INTERSECTION OF WEST WOODMAN STREET AND OLSON <br />
