Park Board Minutes <br /> June 14, 2007 <br /> Page 2 <br /> ------------------------- <br /> Mike Loven will talk to the Chamber of Commerce to see if they will <br /> contribute to the cost of fertilizer and weed control since part of it is around <br /> their building. <br /> Mike Loven recommended the Park Board purchase a different head for <br /> the water sprinkler in order to water Drew's garden so water does not <br /> have to be carried by hand. The cost would be $250.00. <br /> COMMISSIONER JURCHEN MOVED TO APPROVE SPENDING <br /> $250.00 FOR A SPRINKLER HEAD AT TRAILSIDE PARK TO WATER <br /> DREW'S GARDEN. COMMISSIONER TWEED SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 4. Discuss Proposed Improvements to the Bobber Tower Park <br /> Del stated Brian Koslofsky got a quote from Jeff Mongolian for building the <br /> 13' high, 6' wide, 5' deep chair for the Bobber Park. Jeff quoted a price of <br /> $2,450.00 which was less than other quotes received. The Park Board <br /> discussed funding for completing the park. The Clerk reminded the Park <br /> Board that it was their intention to use Park Dedication funds to complete <br /> the park. She also noted that the Council must approve the use of those <br /> �. funds. <br /> COMMISSIONER TWEED MOVED TO RECOMMEND AN <br /> EXPENDITURE OF $2,450.00 FOR HAVING THE CHAIR BUILT FOR <br /> BOBBER PARK AND FURTHER THAT THE REMAINDER OF THE <br /> PARK IMPROVEMENTS BE FUNDED THROUGH PARK DEDICATION <br /> FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $15,000. <br /> The Park Board discussed the amount of funds necessary to complete the <br /> work. It was the consensus that according to the park plans approximately. <br /> $12,000 - $15,000 would be necessary to complete the park <br /> improvements. <br /> COMMISSIONER JURCHEN SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 5. Playground Equipment for Trailside Estate Park <br /> Faye Tweed gave a presentation of the playground equipment that has <br /> been picked out for the Trailside Estate Park. Equipment Includes squirrel, <br /> 4-way rocker, slide, swings, bike rack & hoop. <br />
