Weed Control at Trailside Park
`.. Scott Snyder from Tru Green gave a proposal for applying fertilizer and
weed control to the portion of Trailside Park from the Chamber Building to
UBC (not including the area where the underground sprinkling system is
located). Total cost would be $825.00 for each application to be done
twice a year in June and September.
Scott also discussed the condition of the sod area around the Vet's
Memorial. He noted that the grass is stressed, brown, and unsightly. He
recommended that the grass be cut the same time by the same mower in
order to keep it looking its best and consistent with the rest of the grass in
the park. The Park Board discussed the issue and felt it was best for the
City to maintain the grass around the vet memorial in coordination with the
rest of the grass in the park. Del stated he would relay this information to
Jack Schmidt who has been maintaining the grass by the veteran's
memorial.
COMMISSIONER TWEED MOVED TO APPROVE SPENDING $1,650.00
FOR TWO APPLICATIONS OF FERTILIZER AND WEED CONTROL
FOR THE TRAILSIDE PARK. COMMISSIONER JURCHEN
SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0.
