City Council Minutes <br /> July 3, 2007 <br /> Page 8of10 <br /> ---------------------------- <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE USE OF <br /> $12,000 TO $15,000 OF PARK DEDICATION FUNDS TO COMPLETE <br /> THE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE BOBBER PARK. <br /> The Clerk informed the Council that the Park Board is proposing to add <br /> playground equipment to the newly acquired Trailside Estates Park. The <br /> Park Board is requesting funds in the amount of$8,221 plus tax and <br /> shipping for this park. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE USE OF <br /> PARK DEDICATION FUNDS TO COMPLETE THE IMPROVEMENTS TO <br /> THE TRAILSIDE ESTATES PARK. COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 10.2. Council Calendar <br /> The Clerk reviewed the July Calendar with the Council. <br /> 11. Maintenance Supervisor's Report <br /> Report received by Council. <br /> 11.1. Air Conditioner for Cole Memorial Building <br /> Mike Loven noted that the sprinkler system for City Hall came in under <br /> budget. He recommended that the balance of the money be used to install <br /> an air conditioner at the Cole Memorial Building. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE <br /> EXPENDITURE OF $2,375 PLUS TAX FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN <br /> AIR CONDITIONER AT THE COLE MEMORIAL BUILDING. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 11.2. Request to Purchase Pick Up Truck <br /> Mike Loven requested authorization to purchase a pick up truck for the <br /> Street Department. He explained that the street projects came in under bid <br /> and would like to use the money this year for the purchase rather than <br /> levying next year. He indicated that he has checked with the State <br /> Cooperative Purchasing Program and can order the truck for $26,499.77. <br /> He further noted that he would be selling the existing truck when the new <br /> L.. truck is purchased. <br />
