Trailside Estates
19513 State Hwy 371
Brainerd, MN 56401
September 25, 2007
Landecker&Associates, Inc.
Bryan G. Drown, PE
P O Box 120
Pequot Lakes,MN 56472
RE: Punch List of Construction Items Remaining - Trailside Estates
Item 1 -Televising of sanitary sewer mains;
1. A slip joint 239'south of manhole 3 is not connected correctly. Please see attached
photo. This needs to be excavated and repaired.
There was a cut on top of pipe that we found after installation. We put a water
tight sleeve over it and compacted the ground around it and it was approved onsite
by Landecker&Associates.
2. Sediment is building up at the 2- 45 degree bends set vertically between manhole 6
and the lift station. The City is requesting that these bends are removed and the sanitary
sewer extended directly into the lift station. This will require reinstalling approximately
I5 feet of 8"sanitary sewer main, coring a new invert in the lift station, and grouting
shut the existing invert.
Lift station shop drawings were approved by Landecker to Weiser Concrete and
built to specs. Lift station was set to engineer's elevation and was 14" low. We
corrected the problem by putting 2 -45' fittings in line just before the lift station.
This was viewed by Landecker's engineer. We feel this will cause no problems
and are not digging this up.
3. When taking care of No. 2 above, the rock retaining wall next to the lift station wet
well top slab and control panel will be removed. The City is concerned about getting
across the rocks that may be slippery or icy at times. When restoring this area, install
stairs or a reasonably sloped access path so they do not have to climb over this rock
retaining wall to access these areas.
We installed the rock retaining wall to correct the low elevation of the lift station
and valve box. There should be no reason to climb over the rocks, or to add stairs
anybody can walk 6 feet around the rock wall.
4. The sewer main between manhole 6 and the lift station needs to be cleaned out. The
lift station needs to be pumped out and sediment removed from the bottom.
We will clean out sediment.
5. There is sediment in manhole 4 and in the line approximately 5 feet upstream of
manhole 4 that needs to be removed.
We will clean out sediment.
