- Item 3—Constructing ditching around the northwest cul-de-sac
It is acceptable to leave this area as presently constructed. Please note that as driveways are
constructed, care shall be taken so that run-off does not pond against the edge of the pavement
and create future erosion problems.
Item 4—Construct by-pass lane on County Road#112
1. All power poles adjacent to the bypass lane need to be re-located to the right-of-way.
2. The by-pass lane needs to have striping placed.
3. A roadside ditch, while shallow, needs to be constructed along the bypass lane,as well as
the ditch north of the bypass lane needs to be stabilized and turf established.
Item 5—Remove and replace cracked concrete curb and cutter sections as noted
The City of Pequot Lakes will allow the saw-cutting of the cracks and filling with the Sealtight
Futura— 15,but reserves the right to comment on its suitability at each location after these
repairs have been made.
Item 6—Remove and replace 15 feet of concrete curb and gutter north of CB 4 to provide
positive drainage to the catch basin
In reviewing this are after the recent rain events, it is evident from the sediment deposits and
i puddles in the curb line that catch basin 4, CB-4,(inside edge of the loop) is set higher than the
adjacent flow lines. This ponding of water, while maybe not great to you, will be an eventual
and continuing maintenance issue for the City. Curb and gutter on each side of the catch basin
needs to be removed and replaced to provide positive drainage to the catch basin.
It is also evident that the curb line south of CB-3 (outside edge of the loop)has settled and does
not have positive drainage to the catch basin. Approximately 27 feet of concrete curb and gutter
in this area needs to be removed and replaced such that it drains to CB-3.
Please let us know your plan to remove and replace this curb and gutter and whether it will
involve removal of any pavement. i
Item 8 -Install 15" GS apron and remove sediment from sum area(Trailside Loop Sta
0+28)
It is acceptable to not require installation of the GS apron in lieu of the rip-rap apron that was
installed.
Item 11—Construct rip-rap channel at station 10+00 left
This has been constructed. We request that the area adjacent to Trailside Road east of the
spillway be re-graded such that the shoulder slopes away from the bituminous.
Item 15—Verify drainage on the northwest side of the south cul-de-sac(station 6+75)
We have verified that the bituminous in the cul-de-sac drains to the catch basin.
1
In your letter you asked for a completion date for the playground equipment. The City has
received the equipment and will be installing it this fall, but does not have a firm date at this I
L.- time.
