When reviewing the tapes the following items were discovered. ' 1. A slip joint 239' south of manhole 3 is not connected correctly. Please see attached photo. This needs to be excavated and repaired. 2. Sediment is building up at the 2—45 degree bends set vertically between manhole 6 and the lift station. The City is requesting that these bends are removed and the sanitary sewer extended directly into the lift station. This will require re- installing approximately 15 feet of 8"sanitary sewer main, coring a new invert in the lift station,and grouting shut the existing invert. 3. When taking care of No. 2 above,the rock retaining wall next to the lift station wet well top slab and control panel will be removed. The City is concerned about I getting across the rocks that may be slippery or icy at times. When restoring this area, install stairs or a reasonably sloped access path so they do not have to climb over this rock retaining wall to access these areas. 4. The sewer main between manhole 6 and the lift station needs to be cleaned out. The lift station needs to be pumped out and sediment removed from the bottom. 5. There is sediment in manhole 4 and in the line approximately 5 feet upstream of manhole 4 that needs to be removed. 6. There are six bumps into the pipe noted in the video. The bumps were apparently not of the size that would prevent the mandrel from getting through. We are guessing that your crews did not keep all the rocks away from the pipe during backfill. We believe that the pipe's integrity has not been comprised. However, one of these bumps is in the invert,and has the potential over time to be a maintenance issue. This needs to be excavated and repaired.
