APPLICANT: City of Pequot Lakes <br /> Applicant requests an Ordinance Amendment to Permit Fences in the DMU, UR and C <br /> zones. <br /> Mr. Marohn explained that fences required permits in the old Ordinance. The new <br /> Ordinance does not require permits for fences in any zone. Due to the smaller lot sizes <br /> and ensure that performance standards are being met in the DMU, UR and C zones, Staff <br /> recommends that Fence on the Matrix be changed from A to P in the DNU, UR & C <br /> zones. <br /> A motion was made by Mark Hallan, seconded by Tom Adams, to recommend amending <br /> the Ordinance in the DMU, UR and C zones to require a permit. All members voted <br /> "aye". Motion carried. <br /> ADDITIONS OR DELETIONS TO THE AGENDA: <br /> Old Business: <br /> 8. a. Kevin Wittwer, Subdivision Discussion <br /> 8. b. Patricia Heald, Steps to lake. <br /> 8. c. Extraction Fee <br /> OPEN FORUM: None. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Recreation Zone—Ordinance Amendment. <br /> Mr. Marohn explained the Staff Report. Rental residential uses and lot area was <br /> questioned. 10 acres may be too small as well as 300' width. Off-lake resorts were <br /> discussed and the recreation zone may not be the place. <br /> A motion was made by Mark Hallan, seconded by Bill Habein, to amend the Ordinance <br /> to include the Recreation zone and direct staff to publish Notice of Public Hearing for <br /> next month. All members voted"aye". Motion carried. <br /> KEVIN WITTWER, Subdivision Discussion. <br /> Mr. Wittwer presented his new subdivision proposal. The Planning Commission stated <br /> that this proposal works. Mr. Wittwer asked to have the contour requirement for the split <br /> waived in order to save money. Mr. Marohn stated that 2-foot contours are required in <br /> the Ordinance and that can be waived by the Planning Commission to 10-foot contours. <br /> Ownership of the center lot was questioned.
