3. Rezoning parcels 290271201BB0009 and 290271402C00009 to Rural Residential
— would be consistent with their previous zoning classification of Rural Residential
with the same minimum lot size and lot width requirements.
4. The Rural Residential zone is compatible with the Agriculture, Forest
Management, Transitional Residential, and Recreation Zones.
5. Rezoning parcel 290271100E00009 to Forest Management would be consistent
with the property's previous zoning designation of Forestry, which contained the
same lot size and dimension requirements.
6. Rezoning parcel 290271100E00009 to Forest Management would be compatible
with the surrounding zoning classification, which is proposed to be Forest
Management.
7. Rezoning parcel 290271100E00009 to Forest Management would not be entirely
consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, which states that the Forest
Preservation areas would be very large lot residential (40-80 acres) within
forested land. This parcel is only 5 acres in size and may be better suited in the
Rural Residential zoning classification.
8. Parcel 290271100E00009 does not meet the minimum lot size of 10 acres for the
Forest Management zone, being roughly 5 acres in size. The property, however,
was a non-conforming property due to lot size under the previous zoning
classification of Forestry. Rezoning to Forest Management would not be
inconsistent with previously existing requirements.
9. Parcel 29027110E00009 is close to meeting the minimum lot size of 5 aces for the
Rural Residential zone, being approximately 4.9 acres in size. The parcel also
.- meets the minimum lot width of 200 feet, being over 400 feet wide.
10. Parcel 290271201BB0009 does not meet the minimum lot size of 5 acres for the
Rural Residential district as it is roughly half an acre in size. This lot would be
considered non-conforming under the new Ordinance, but it was also considered
non-conforming due to lot size under the old Ordinance.
11. Parcel 290271402C00009 does not meet the minimum lot size of 5 acres for the
Rural Residential zone, being about 4.6 acres in size. The property does meet the
minimum lot width of 200 feet, being over 300 feet wide.
All members voted"aye". Motion carried.
APPLICANT: City of Pequot Lakes
Applicant requests to rezone from Forestry to Rural Residential. Jerry and Rose
Grossoehme, property owners. He asked if this could be tabled to next month.
