A motion was made by Scott Pederson, seconded by Roger Varilek,to recommend to the <br /> City Council to adopt the resolution declaring a negative need for the Environmental <br /> Impact Statement. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE: All members voted"aye". Motion carried. <br /> APPLICANT: Dan Helbling <br /> Applicant requests a Conditional Use Permit for the RV Resort Village at the <br /> Preserve. <br /> Mr. Marohn explained the Staff Report. The Planning Commission pointed out an error <br /> in Finding of Fact#41. The word "not"in the second sentence should be removed. <br /> Change Condition as follows: <br /> 3 Improvements to Hurtig Road shall be completed within 12 months of approval as <br /> per the direction of Mike Loven, or his representative, with the City of Pequot <br /> Lakes. <br /> 4. Improvements to County Road 168 shall be constructed within 12 months of <br /> approval as per the requirements of the Crow Wing County Highway Department. <br /> 5. Improvements to Highway 371 shall be made as per the direction of Mn/DOT. <br /> The Planning Commission needs clarification from Mike Loven, Street Superintendent, 11 <br /> whether Hurtig Road needs to be straightened or just cleared. Whichever is fine with Mr. <br /> Helbling. <br /> A motion was made by Tom Adams, seconded by John Derksen,to approve the <br /> Condition Use Permit,based on the following Findings of Fact, as adjusted: <br /> 1. The parcel is 54.24 acres in size and thus meets the minimum lot size <br /> requirements. <br /> 4 On the campground standards of Section 8.4 <br /> 2. The City does not enforce the standards of the Department of Health, but <br /> permitting from that agency is required to ensure that development conforms <br /> to their standards. The City has provided a letter for the applicants to assist in <br /> obtaining a Department of Health approval. <br /> 3. Each proposed site meets the minimum requirements of 3,000 square feet and <br /> is at least 40-feet center-to-center to adjacent units. <br /> 4. Adjacent to each site is a strip of land for a service road. The strips of land <br /> range from 40 feet to 50 feet wide, thus meeting the minimum standard. <br /> 5. Parking is provided on each individual site. <br /> 6. Recreational facilities are provided and are addressed during the PUD portion <br /> of the review. <br /> 7.
