There will be no loss or damage of a natural, scenic or historical feature of major <br /> significance because the use will occur within a preexisting commercial building. <br /> Since no new development is required there will be no loss or damage to any <br /> natural, scenic or historic features. <br /> 12. There are no groundwater or surface water pollution issues associated with this <br /> use. There will be no increase in impervious surfaces, no additional septic <br /> systems, or other actions related to this use that could be construed as a threat to <br /> the quality of groundwater of surface waters. <br /> Mr. Larsen stated that 2 cars can fit behind the old church, by the shed. Mr. Williams <br /> stated that the County Road could be improved prior to 2014. Ms. Gibbons stated that <br /> her patrons average 7 per hour, with 30 minute sessions. Motion carried. 4 ayes— 1 nay. <br /> Applicant: Michael and Laurie Ridgley <br /> Applicants request a Variance for a Structure Encroaching on the Bluff Setback. <br /> Applicants were present, along with their contractor,Bob Ruud of Lakewood Builders. <br /> Mr. Marohn explained the Staff Report. Chairman Woog asked Commission Member <br /> Adams to hold up his site plan, which he had outlined the building envelope with a <br /> marker. Mr. Marohn stated on page 2-2, the OHW setback should read 75 feet, not 100 <br /> feet. Staff recommends not approving the variance request,based on the 10 Findings of <br /> Fact listed in the Staff Report. He also stated the Planning Commission could table this <br /> request to look at another design. <br /> Mr. Ridgley stated that they have been seasonal residents since 1994. They own 3 lots <br /> and hoped to build their retirement home and be full time residents. They plan to remove <br /> the 1950's cabin and plant wildflowers. They plan to build on the existing driveway, <br /> limiting the number of trees cut down. He asked for consideration to build a new <br /> residence. <br /> Bob Ruud, Lakewood Builders, stated he met with LisaBeth from Community Growth <br /> Institute on site. He said she had told him she would support this.
