The following policy has been approved by the City Council on to <br /> serve as the basis for determining the park dedication requirements in new subdivisions, <br /> as outlined in Section 9.10 of the Pequot Lakes Land Use Ordinance. <br /> Section 1. Purpose and Intent. The purpose and intent of this policy is to establish a <br /> procedure for determining and updating the park dedication requirements as contained in <br /> Section 9.10 of the City of Pequot Lakes Land Use Ordinance. <br /> Section 2. Land Dedication Formula. The City of Pequot Lakes will use the following <br /> formula to calculate the total park land dedication for new residential development within <br /> the City: <br /> Number of Units Y Number of People Y 0.016 acre _ Park Land <br /> in Subdivision x Per Household X (per capita share) Dedication <br /> Area <br /> [Units] X [PPH] X [Share] = Park Land <br /> Dedication Area <br /> Where: <br /> [Units] = Number of units in the proposed subdivision <br /> [PPH] = Number of people per household, as determined by the U.S. <br /> Census Bureau or Minnesota State Demographer's Office, <br /> whichever is timelier <br /> [Share] = The per capita share of parkland, which is equal to the City's total <br /> parkland goal (16 acres per 1000 residents) <br /> Section 3. Cash in Lieu of Land Fee. The City of Pequot Lakes will use the following <br /> formula to calculate the total cash in lieu of land (park dedication) fee required for new <br /> residential development within the City: <br /> Number of Units Y Number of People Y Park <br /> in Subdivision x Per Household /\ Per Resident Fee Dedication <br /> Fee <br /> [Units] X [PPH] X [Fee] =Park Dedication Fee <br /> Where: <br /> [Units] = Number of units in the proposed subdivision <br /> [PPH] = Number of people per household, as determined by the U.S. <br /> Census Bureau or Minnesota State Demographer's Office, <br /> whichever is timelier <br /> [Fee] = The per resident fee contained in Section 9.10, Subdivision 2(a) <br /> Planning Commission Minutes 5 <br /> July 19,2007 <br />
