The Planning Commission asked him to get feedback <br /> �-- from administration at the School and find out what size is really going to work, etc. <br /> Councilman Oraskovich stated that he is the Liaison to the School for the Council and <br /> he had talked with Mr. Linnell and had told him he would need to come to the <br /> Planning Commission to look at the process and start getting some help to begin <br /> discussion on this. That is Mr. Linnell's intention tonight. <br /> The Planning Commission asked why they are requesting the sign now and Mr. <br /> Linnell stated the School is looking to work with the City on the Oak Street project <br /> with give and take on both sides. <br /> b. Scott Pederson—Represent Planning Commission on Advisory Committee: <br /> Mr. Pederson stated he had been asked to be on a Conservation Design Scorecard <br /> Committee because of his development. The Committee is developing a scorecard to <br /> evaluate conservation design standards. In addition to being a developer, he would <br /> like to represent the Pequot Lakes Planning Commission. Staff stated that he would <br /> not need Council approval. The Planning Commission stated that he can offer a real <br /> world perspective to the group and has the Planning Commission support. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> a. Shoreland Conservation Design (Alt. Standards) <br /> Mr. Marohn explained the Staff Report and stated he brought back specific changes <br /> requested by the Planning Commission. We would be able to hold a public hearing <br /> next month if the Planning Commission has no other modifications. <br /> Under#2, isn't it all disappearing? It is referring to a section that may not exist. Staff <br /> was directed to look into that. <br /> How do we minimize their visibility from the lake? By having them be natural color <br /> and perpendicular. You would look at color and positioning as criteria. <br /> There were other changes that were requested to be brought back. The Planning <br /> Commission would like to see it without cross outs, with the new language and <br /> changes. Staff could do that and bring to a public hearing. The cross outs need to be <br /> shown at the public hearing. Both should be included in Staff Report.
