� <br />Clerk's Staff Report <br />August, 2012 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />• Scott Pederson <br />• Tom Ryan <br />Union Contract Renewal <br />We are still in the process of working with the Union to close negotiations and present a <br />final contract to the Council for approval. <br />Fire Truck <br />The Council has approved the City to proceed with the Fire Truck funding. We have <br />begun working with the USDA in the application process. Part of the process requires the <br />City to check with other vendors for financing rates that may be lower than offered <br />through USDA. Nancy Malecha is working with the local banks. <br />Audio/Video of Council Meetin� — A second quote from EPA is included in the <br />Council's packet for review. <br />WAC/SAC Policv Studv — The Planning Commission and EDC will be reviewing the <br />WAGSAC proposal prior to Council consideration. We are a little behind due to the lack <br />of a quorum of the EDC, but hope to present this to the Council in October <br />Budgets — The preliminary budget will be presented to the Council on September 4tn <br />�" After the preliminary budget is set, staff will continue to follow the direction of the <br />Council regarding a iinal levy number. <br />Clerk's Office Reor�anization — With Jeanyne moving upstairs at the beginning of the <br />year, it has become evident that we will need to hire a replacement. The Clerk's Office, <br />along with the Zoning Administrator is working together to look at all options for staffing <br />both departments. We hope to have something to present to the Council at the October <br />meeting. <br />Clerk's Staff <br />• Reports from the Clerk's staff are attached <br />� <br />
