Police City of Pequot City Hall <br /> 218-568-8111 Lakes 218-568-5222 <br /> Fax 218-568-5647 Fax 218-568-5860 <br /> �')lpd @pequotlakes-mn.gov = - 4638 County Road 11 cityhall @pequotlakes-mn.gov <br /> Fequot Lakes,MN 56472 <br /> www.pequotlakes-mn.gov <br /> April 13, 2009 <br /> James and Lisa Urseth <br /> 7336 Niemi Circle <br /> Lake Shore, MN 56468 <br /> Re: Potential Ordinance Violation <br /> PIN: 291290020040009 <br /> 4829 Pine Needle Drive <br /> Dear Mr. and Mrs. Urseth: <br /> It has come to our attention through a complaint that you are likely in violation of the <br /> City Code regarding Waste,Maintenance, Visual Standards and Sanitation Standards. <br /> The City Code states in Section 17-7.2 (1 J)NUISANCE STANDARDS, Wastes,that <br /> "(1)All waste generated shall be disposed of in a manner consistent with all Minnesota <br /> Pollution Control Agency rules (2)Any accumulation of waste generated on any <br /> premises not stored in containers which comply with Minnesota Pollution Control <br /> Agency rules, or any accumulation of mixed solid waste generated on any premises which <br /> has remained thereon for more than one week... which is not stored or disposed in a <br /> manner consistent with Minnesota Pollution Control Agency rules, is a nuisance and may <br /> be abated and the cost of abatement may be addressed against the property where the <br /> nuisance is found " <br /> The City Code further states in Section 17-7.4 MAINTENANCE that "All structures <br /> shall be properly maintained in a clean and acceptable manner so as not to constitute a <br /> menace to the public health, safety, convenience, general welfare,property values and <br /> aesthetics... " <br /> The City Code further states in Section 17-7.6 VISUAL STANDARDS that"No use shall <br /> create, maintain or continue any activity or structure which has a strong negative visual <br /> impact or offends the morals or violates the standards of the City. " <br />
