The goal of this <br /> `-' monitoring is to prevent runoff and ground water intrusion while <br /> maintaining healthy grasses with minimal usage of chemicals. The <br /> test summaries illustrate the stabilization of soil and water chemistry <br /> after a decade of declining phosphorus. <br /> Phosphorus spiking did occur last summer on 2 greens. This spiking <br /> occurred after rains and it was decided to collect rainwater and dust to <br /> test for phosphorus concentrations. Air borne phosphorus could <br /> literally be fertilizing the golf course. <br /> ➢ Wellhead Protection Team —The Wellhead Protection Team met <br /> and reviewed the draft Report for the Department of Health. This <br /> report will be included in the June Planning Commission packets and <br /> presented to the City Council at the July Council meeting. <br /> May, 2009 Staff Report Page 3 <br />
