Box 67 Benedict, MN 56436 Re: City of Pequot Lakes Potential Ordinance Violation PIN: 291020030020009 31039 North Washington Dear Mr. Hallbeck: It has come to our attention through a complaint that you are rely in violation of the City's Code regarding Maintenance and Visual Standards. The City Code states in Section 17-7.4 MAINTENANCE that "All structures shall be properly maintained in a clean and acceptable manner so as not to constitute a menace to the public health, safety, convenience, general welfare,property values and aesthetics. All landscaping shall be properly maintained so as to preserve planting in a live state and free of noxious weeds." The City Coded further states in Section 17-7.6 VISUAL STANDARDS "No use shall create, maintain or continue any activity or structure which has a strong negative visual impact or offends the morals or violates the standards of the City." I have been to your property and taken the enclosed pictures. If these pictures accurately depict the condition of your property,I would have to find that you are in violation of these provisions of the City Code. As opposed to formally citing you for a violation of the City Code,we would like the opportunity to work with you to correct the situation. We are requesting that by no later than June 13,2009 you remove and dispose of the dead and downed trees from your property. i
