Chief Klang noted that there would <br />be no other associated costs. <br />Council discussion pursued regarding the hiring process. <br />MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO HIRE CHAD TURCOTTE, ADAM <br />KRONSTEDT, AND RICK KANGAS AS PART TIIME OFFICERS IN THE <br />PEQUOT LAKES POLICE DEPARTMENT AT STEP 1 OF THE POLICE <br />OFFICER PAY SCALE, EFFECTIVE JUNE 6, 2012. COUNCIL MEMBER <br />SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 3-1-1. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN VOTED NAY AND <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON ABSTAINED. <br />Council Member Ryan stated that he had a problem with the hiring <br />process. <br />9. Public Works <br />Report received by Council. <br />L 9.1. Request to Forqive Sewer Fees <br />Mike Loven explained that Earl Hemmerich has requested an adjustment <br />to his sewer bill due to a water main leak. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE A SEWER <br />UTILITY CREDIT TO PEQUOT TERRACE IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$443.83. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />9.2. Consider Bid for Street Proiects <br />Mike Loven discussed the proposed street projects which consisted of the <br />following: <br />1. East Siblev Street — A 140' x 16' bituminous shoulder for water control to <br />the catch basin at the east end by the Paul Bunyan Trail. <br />2. Spruce Street — Repair of a low water holding area by Doug Olson <br />residence and overlay of the entire street. <br />3. Eastman Avenue — Grade and pave connection between South Heath <br />Street and Maish Street. <br />L <br />
