Citv of Jenkins <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 13- <br />27 APPROVING THE LAW ENFORCEMENT CONTRACT AND JOINT <br />POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br />AND THE CITY OF JENKINS. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTtON CARRIED 5-0. <br />8.2. Loiterinca Ordinance <br />Chief Eric Klang introduced the loitering ordinance. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO REMOVE THE LOITERING <br />ORDINANCE FROM THE TABLE. COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 13- <br />07, AMENDING CHAPTER 7 GENERAL OFFENSES OF THE CITY <br />CODE RELATING TO LOITERING. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE SUMMARY <br />PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE 13-07 RELATING TO LOITERING. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER GARDNER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br />9. Public Works <br />9.1. Citv Enaineer Verbal Update <br />Nelson Road - City Engineer Tim Houle reported that he is working on <br />vertical profile and earthwork items for the Nelson Road project. This is a <br />cooperative project with Ideal Township. When the design is complete (in <br />mid-November), the City and Township can decide if they want to bid and <br />construct in 2014 or later. <br />Hiahwav 371 Turnback Committee: Tim Houle reported on the Highway <br />371 turnback committee meetings. The Committee has been working <br />through all of the segments with input also being provided by the Planning <br />Commission. The committee anticipates having information to the Council <br />around January before submitting it to the County and MnDOT. MnDOT <br />Right-of-Way people are meeting with various property owners about R/W <br />needs for the project. MnDOT called County Engineer Tim Bray about a <br />
