H. Duties <br /> A. Design and Construction <br /> The State shall be responsible for design and construction engineering services as <br /> described in the separate agreements referenced above. The State shall do the calling for all bids and <br /> approve of entering into a design-build contract. Construction cost share has been identified for only <br /> the New TH 371/CSAH 11 intersection. These costs are identified in the Jurisdictional Transfer <br /> Agreement between the City and County, referenced above. <br /> B. Property Acquisition <br /> No property acquisition costs required for the project shall be transferred from the <br /> County to the City. <br /> C. Inspection and Approval <br /> The State shall provide Inspection and Approval services as identified in the separate <br /> agreements referenced above. <br /> III. INITIAL CONSTRUCTION COSTS <br /> A. In accordance with the County's cost share policy, most recently amended and dated <br /> 11/12/2013, certain items are considered the responsibility of the local agency. Through separate <br /> agreements between the County and State, and the County and City,these costs have been identified <br /> and placed with the responsible party. Changes requested by the City that would cause additional <br /> costs to the City are listed below. <br /> B. SIDEWALK — Local agencies fund 100% of sidewalks and trails. Separate <br /> agreements have covered the cost of off-roadway trails and sidewalks. Any request for additional <br /> trails or sidewalks, or special aesthetic treatments that would increase County participation will be <br /> reimbursed by the City. <br /> C. CONCRETE MEDIAN — The County funds 100% of concrete median costs. Any <br /> request for decorative median, stamped concrete or landscaping that would increase County <br /> participation will be reimbursed by the City. <br /> D. STREET LIGHTING—The cost and installation is shared 50/50 between the County <br /> and local agency. Separate agreements have identified the responsibility of these costs. Any request <br /> for decorative or specialty lighting that increase County participation will be reimbursed by the City. <br /> E. STREETSCAPING — The cost is 100% the responsibility of the local agency. Any <br /> requests made through the design-build contract that would increase County participation will be <br /> reimbursed by the City. <br /> F. INTERCHANGES —The funding share is decided on a case by case basis. Through <br /> separate agreements, the cost of the interchange at New TH 371 and CSAH 11 has been split 70% <br /> state, 24%County and 6%City. <br /> 2 <br />
