Call Special Council Meeting for Wilderness Resort Villas Final Plat <br /> Council Member Akerson explained that the developer of Wilderness <br /> Resort in requesting a special Council meeting on May 23rd to consider the <br /> final plat of Wilderness Resort Villas. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO CALL A SPECIAL <br /> MEETING FOR MAY 23, 2011, AT 6:30 P.M. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> Dave Sjoblad stated that Wilderness Point has made many changes in the <br /> past which is frustrating and requested that all information be ready and in <br /> order for the upcoming Council meeting. <br /> 7. Fire Department Monthly Report <br /> `.. Report received by Council. <br /> 7.1. Request to Increase Benefit Level <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO TAKE FROM THE TABLE <br /> THE MOTION RELATING TO THE REQUEST TO INCREASE THE <br /> YEARLY PENSION RATE FROM $2,900 TO $3,300. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3- <br /> 2. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN AND COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON <br /> OPPOSED. <br /> The Clerk noted that the current motion that has just been removed from <br /> the table is: <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE THE REQUEST <br /> TO INCREASE THE YEARLY PENSION RATE FROM $2,900 TO <br /> $3,300. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Larry Oaks and Patrick Selter were present. <br /> Larry Oaks stated that the pension fund is not based on the cost of living. <br /> The increase is based on the earnings of the fund and when there is <br /> �,, enough money in the fund for an increase then the increase is requested. <br />
