City Council Minutes <br /> August 4, 2015 <br /> Page 3 of 5 <br /> Dawn Bittner explained that the Planning Commission is recommending <br /> an amendment to the sign ordinance with the elimination of Part 8 relating <br /> to gas pricing. Ms. Bittner noted that this Part is in conflict with Part 9 <br /> relating to dynamic displays. She further clarified that gas stations can <br /> now have more than one pricing display. <br /> MAYOR SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 15-07 <br /> AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE CITY CODE RELATING TO SIGNS. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER KARR SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 7. Fire <br /> The July 29, 2015 Fire Board report was received by Council. <br /> 8. Police <br /> 8.1 Animal Control Agreement - 2016 <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO APPROVE THE 2016 <br /> ANIMAL CONTROL ENFORCEMENT SERVICE AGREEMENT IN THE <br /> AMOUNT OF $239.25 PER MONTH PLUS MILEAGE. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER KARR SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 8.2 Request to Purchase Police Vehicle <br /> Mayor Sjoblad explained that the Police Department is requesting to <br /> purchase a 2015 Dodge Charger from Tanner Motors to replace the <br /> Chevrolet Tahoe that was damaged in the recent storm. The Charger will <br /> be paid from insurance claim funds and the Police Department plans on <br /> ordering a Tahoe when they become available in 2016. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA MOVED TO AUTHORIZE THE <br /> PURCHASE OF A 2015 DODGE CHARGER FROM TANNER MOTORS <br /> IN THE AMOUNT OF $27,295. COUNCIL MEMBER KARR SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 9. Public Works <br /> 9.1. Resolution Approving Amended Facilities Plan <br /> Tim Houle highlighted some main points from the Amended Facilities Plan <br /> for Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) Effluent Disposal Options.
