Personnel Committee Recommendations
Sandy Peine discussed the job description revisions for the clerk's office
reorganization due to the shifting of duties with her retirement and the
hiring of an administrator. Ms. Peine stated that the Personnel
Committee, consisting of herself, David Sjoblad, and Scott Pederson,
reviewed job descriptions for the City Administrator,
Administrative/Finance Assistant, Finance Administrator/Deputy City
Clerk, and the Zoning Administrator/Administrative Specialist. Once the
job descriptions are completed, then job points are assigned to the
position based on the State Job Match. It is important to remember that
the points assigned are based on the job classification and not the person
in the position.
The Personnel Committee recommended the following to the City Council.
• City Administrator—This is a new position with 571 job points and a
salary range of$67,251 to $88,239.
• Administrative/Finance Assistant—This is a position change to
Deputy City Clerk from 172 job points to 221 job points and a wage
recommendation from step 3 ($14.87/hour) to step 3 ($16.69/hour)
on September 28, 2015.
