COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> PEDERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIES 5-0. <br /> 9.4 Request to Use Carryover Funds - Cameras <br /> Public Works Supervisor Nick Roy requests to use Public Works carryover funds <br /> to provide cameras to the City in several areas. They would cover the City Hall <br /> parking lot/safe exchange area, Trailside Park on the North side near the <br /> playground and splash pad, etc. Mayor Gardner asks Mr. Roy whether he is okay <br /> using all the funds from his budget to which Mr. Roy said it all comes from the <br /> same people, so if that is where the money is at, he is okay using it for this <br /> purpose. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER CLEMENT MOVES TO APPROVE THE USE OF PUBLIC <br /> WORKS CARRYOVER FUNDS OF $22,500 TO PAY FOR SECURITY <br /> CAMERAS & LIGHTING. COUNCIL MEMBER LARSON SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIES 5-0. <br /> 9.5 Certificate of Commendation —MPCA <br /> The MPCA recognizes Water/Wastewater Manager Andy Schwartz for his <br /> service. In the State of Minnesota, there are approximately 1,600 wastewater <br /> treatment facilities. Of those 1,600 facilities, 253 operators qualified for <br /> outstanding operations, including our Water/Wastewater Manager, Andy <br /> Schwartz. <br /> 9.6 Larsen Parkway <br /> Mr. Houle says as part of the Larson Project, they recommend the City hire a <br /> geotechnical team to do some testing. It is a benefit not only to the City but also <br /> to the contractor. He says they have received a proposal from Braun and are <br /> presenting that proposal tonight. Braun completed the first project. We started <br /> with Braun because of their knowledge of the project and soil. Their proposal <br /> amount is $13,723.00. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER RONNING MOVES TO APPROVE THE BRAUN <br /> INTERTECH PROPOSAL FOR CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING <br /> SERVICES FOR AN ESTIMATED COST OF $13,723. COUNCIL MEMBER <br /> CLEMENT SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIES 5-0. <br /> 9.7 Main Lift Station and Forcemain Proiect <br /> Mr. Houle says they have been pushing to get the plans and specifications and <br /> other things done for this to be a 2024 construction project. That is not the case. <br /> He says they have run into some easements that have issues with gaps in <br /> property descriptions. He says they have talked with the MPCA regarding if this <br /> will be an issue for funding the City would receive and the MPCA said it would be <br /> better to submit this a little later for a 2025 construction plan.
