He said they have played in Crosslake. Ms. Adams suggests Mr. <br />Clement find out a name and contact information and will inquire if spots are still <br />available. <br /> <br /> <br />6. Community Garden Update <br /> <br />Nancy Adams inquires on how to generate interest in gardens. She expressed <br />not wanting to put extra work on Nick and the crew. Angie Duus updates on staff <br />recently visiting Cross Lake’s Community Gardens. Discussion ensued of how <br />we could generate interest and drum up ideas. Ms. Duus further suggests <br />interested parties could attend the next Park Board meeting. <br /> <br />Keith Simar comments on the size of space. Ms. Adams suggests putting an <br />inquiry for interest on the next utility statements. <br /> <br />7. Tree Study Updates <br /> <br />Angie Duus updates on an email received by Eric Utz. She states we will put it on <br />the agenda for City Council and that City Council needs to approve the tree study <br />in order to pay for it. Nancy Adams comments that Ashbore is now in Brainerd, <br />MN. <br /> <br />8. DNR Grant for the Park Update <br /> <br />Angie Duus updates on Information Species Form. She updates on a bat that <br />was identified. She also states that an additional form for both MN & WI is to be <br />completed by Widseth. Ms. Duus continued to use the easement. She further <br />states a Quit Claim Deed was sufficient and was completed today and the Bat <br />information was provided the previous week. Ms. Duus also states that she will <br />be researching if a grant is available. She also mentions she will be looking at <br />bids; preferably three. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER ADAMS MOVES TO HAVE CITY STAFF REACH OUT FOR <br />AT LEAST THREE BIDS AND TO BE COMPLETED BY MARCH MEETING. <br />COMMISSIONER SIMAR SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIES 6-0 <br /> <br />9. Paul Circle Sign Update <br /> <br />Jeff Boucher shows the board a sample of wood and indicates they are still <br />experimenting with various wood types. He also expresses the wood burning <br />needs to be deeper. Nancy Adams comments on her observation of the <br />attendance at Paul Park. The Park Board questions the official name of Park.
