Public Works <br /> <br />9.1 Public Works Report <br /> <br /> Report provided. <br /> <br />9.2 Safe Routes to School Plan Resolution <br /> <br /> Ms. Duus states we had previously adopted the plan, but we had not done a <br />resolution for it. <br /> <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LARSON MOVES TO ADOPT THE SAFE ROUTES TO <br />SCHOOL PLAN RESOLUTION. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON SECONDED <br />THE MOTION. <br /> <br /> City Engineer Tim Houle clarifies the idea behind adopting a resolution versus <br />what has already been done. He says it does not cost the City anything right <br />now, but adopting a resolution may assist with funding in the future. <br /> <br /> MOTION CARRIES 5-0. <br /> <br />9.3 Larsen Parkway Bid Approval <br /> <br /> Mr. Houle and Emma present Council Members with the Tabulation of Bids. <br />Emma gives a verbal update. She states nine bids were received for the project. <br />The apparent low bidder was Pratt’s Affordable Excavating, LLC at $273,033.50. <br />After reviewing all bids for appropriate documentation and completeness of the <br />bids, she states they are recommending the bid be awarded to Pratt’s Affordable <br />Excavating, LLC. <br /> <br /> Mayor Gardner asks when we have big projects broken up over years, whether <br />there is an issue having different contractors for different segments of a project. <br />They responded that it should not be an issue. <br /> <br /> Council Member Ronning then asks to clarify what is all included in the bid. They <br />replied it is about a 400-foot extension of Larson Parkway and it would include all <br />of the infrastructure. <br /> <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON MOVES TO AWARD THE LARSON <br />PARKWAY BID TO PRATT’S AFFORDABLE EXCAVATING AT $273,033.50. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER RONNING SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />CARRIES 5-0.
