F141149cei0D 91 <br />VACATIONS <br />11.1 All regular full-time employees shall earn vacation on the following basis: <br />Months <br />Hours <br />0-12 <br />40 <br />13-60 <br />96 <br />61-120 <br />120 <br />121-180 <br />160 <br />181-240 <br />185 <br />241 and over <br />200 <br />Implementation of the above vacation schedule will begin on each employee's anniversary date in <br />2019. <br />Vacation leave shall be accrued during the probationary period but may not be taken until the <br />successful completion of the field training period at the discretion of the chief of police. Vacation <br />shall be credited to an employee's account on a semi-monthly basis.44-.-2,- <br />11.2 An employee may accrue vacation leave, from one calendar year to another, to a maximum of one <br />hundred forty (140 hours for regular full-time employees, and to a prorated maximum fur regular <br />part-time employee, so long as such additional vacation does not interfere with the efficient <br />operation of the Police Department. The maximum of one hundred forty (140) hours for regular <br />full-time, and the prorated maximum for part-time employees, which may be carried over to the <br />next calendar year, may include any combination of compensatory time and vacation leave up to <br />a maximum of one hundred forty (140) hours, subject to a maximum of one hundred (100) hours <br />of compensatory time. <br />11.3 Vacation leave may be used subject to approval of the Police Chief or designee. Employees shall <br />provide written notice of requests for vacation leave of at least five (5) days at a time, with at <br />least two (2) weeks advance notice given to the Police Chief or designee unless the Police Chief <br />or designee approves a lesser period of notice. In the case of conflict as to requests for vacation <br />time off, the request of the senior employee shall have priority. Once the vacation requests have <br />been approved, an employee may not use seniority to bump the approved vacation of a less senior <br />employee. <br />11.4 Vacation may be taken in one (1) hour minimum increments provided requests for any such <br />partial vacation are made in advance and approved by the Police Chief or designee. <br />11 <br />
